Gunung Tua is a town in the Padang Bolak district of North Sumatra province, Indonesia, and the seat of North Padang Lawas Regency. It was part of South Tapanuli Regency until 17 July 2007, when it became the capital of the newly created regency. Its population was 14,460 in mid-2023.
