Hajdúnánás is a town in Hajdú-Bihar County in the Northern Great Plain region of eastern Hungary, with 17,172 residents recorded in 2015 across 259.62 square kilometers. The town was formerly known simply as Nánás, later gaining the prefix Hajdú from the Hajduk, reflecting the region's history of settlement by that soldier class.
