Hajduszoboszlo

Hajduszoboszlo is a town in Hajdu-Bihar county, Hungary, about 19 kilometers southwest of the county seat Debrecen, and the third largest town in the county. It became a major thermal spa destination after a thermal spring was discovered during oil drilling on October 26, 1925, and it is nicknamed the sunniest city in Hungary and a mecca for rheumatism for its spa treatments. The spa complex includes water slides, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a wave pool, and thermal and hot baths, and the town sits on the northeastern Great Hungarian Plain at 100 to 110 meters elevation. According to 2017 data, the town had 23,781 residents.
