Hrvatska Kostajnica, also known simply as Kostajnica, is a town in central Croatia on the Una river in Sisak-Moslavina County, south of Petrinja and Sisak and across the river from Kostajnica in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The town's name most likely derives from the word kostanj, meaning chestnut.
