Huangshan is a prefecture-level city in southern Anhui province, China, named after the scenic Yellow Mountains that cover much of its geographic expanse. The prefectural city includes three urban districts and four counties, and its urban center was originally the city of Tunxi, still called Tunxi locally to distinguish it from the rest of Huangshan. Its population was 1.332 million at the end of 2021.
