IJsselstein is a municipality and city in the province of Utrecht in the Netherlands, with a population of 33,819 as of January 2021, named for the Hollandse IJssel river that flows through it. It received city rights in 1331 and today functions as a commuting suburb of Utrecht, served by the Sneltram light rail line, with landmarks including two churches dedicated to St. Nicholas, a surviving castle tower, and the 366.8 meter Gerbrandy Tower television mast.
