Imbros, officially renamed Gokceada in 1970, is the largest island of Turkey, lying in the northeastern Aegean Sea within Canakkale Province and covering an area of about 286.8 square kilometers. It holds the westernmost point of Turkey, and as of 2023 the island district had a population of 10,721 residents.
