Jastrzebie-Zdroj is a city in the Silesian Voivodeship in southern Poland with 86,632 inhabitants as of 2021. Its name combines Polish words for hawk and spa, reflecting its origin as a spa village from 1861; it gained city status in 1963 and later played a part in the workers protests of the 1980s that fed into the Solidarity movement in Poland.
