Jelenia Gora is a historic city in southwestern Poland, situated in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship near the Karkonosze mountain range, close to ski resorts including Karpacz and Szklarska Poreba. It constitutes its own separate urban gmina and serves as the seat of the surrounding Karkonosze County, recording a population of 77,366 in 2021. The area, including the historic spa district of Cieplice Slaskie-Zdroj, ranks among Poland's most valued recreational and leisure destinations.
