Kafr Qasim, also spelled Kafr Qassem, Kufur Kassem, Kfar Kassem or Kafar Kassem, is an Arab city in Israel located about 20 kilometers east of Tel Aviv, on the Israeli side of the Green Line, in the southern part of the Little Triangle of Arab-Israeli towns and villages. Its population was 27,996 as of 2024. The town was the site of the Kafr Qasim massacre, in which Israel Border Police killed 49 civilians on October 29, 1956, and it was formally declared a city on February 12, 2008.
