Kalkar is a municipality in the district of Kleve, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, located near the Rhine about 10 kilometers southeast of Cleves. Its Catholic church of St. Nicolai preserves one of the most significant sacral inventories from the late Middle Ages in Germany.
