Kemerovo is an industrial city and the administrative center of Kemerovo Oblast, Russia, located at the confluence of the Iskitimka and Tom rivers in the coal-mining region of the Kuznetsk Basin. Its population was 557,119 at the 2021 census, up from 532,981 in 2010, 484,754 in 2002, and 520,263 in the 1989 Soviet census.
