Kiryat Ono is a city in Israel Tel Aviv District, about 11 kilometers east of Tel Aviv, with a population of 45,049 in 2024 across roughly 4.1 square kilometers. It was established in 1939 as Kfar Ono and took its current name after merging with neighboring communities in 1954, achieving official city status in 1992. It stands near the site of the ancient biblical settlement of Ono, whose location is now occupied by Or Yehuda.
