Kiunga is a port town in Papua New Guinea's Western Province, on the Fly River just upstream of its junction with the Ok Tedi River. It sits at the southern end of the Kiunga-Tabubil Highway, making it the main link between the interior Ok Tedi copper and gold mine and the river transport network, with freight and haulage for the mine and for the larger town of Tabubil forming the core of its economy.
