Koge is a Danish seaport on the coast of Koge Bay, about 39 kilometers southwest of Copenhagen, and is the principal town and seat of Koge Municipality in Region Zealand. Its natural harbor and strategic location made it a historic market town, and its well-preserved old town center still features half-timbered houses; it is linked to Copenhagen's metropolitan rail network and, since 2019, to the Copenhagen-Ringsted railway line. Its urban area had 38,840 residents as of January 2026, making it the 18th most populous urban area in Denmark.
