Koronadal is a component city and the capital of South Cotabato province, in the Soccsksargen region of the Philippines. Founded as the Marbel Settlement District in 1939, chartered as a municipality in 1947 and converted to a component city in 2000, it was named the regional center of Soccsksargen in 2004 and had a 2024 census population of 201,844 across 277.00 square kilometers. It is the second most populous city in both the province and the region after General Santos, and roughly 95 percent of its residents speak Hiligaynon.
