Krzeszowice is a town in southern Poland's Lesser Poland Voivodeship, with a population of 9,993 as of 2004. It belongs to the Kraków Metropolitan Area and lies 25 kilometres west of the centre of Kraków, with a rail station on the main route between Kraków and Katowice and access to National Road 79 running from Warsaw to Bytom. From 1928 to 1966 the town held official spa status, and it is home to the sports club Świt, founded in 1923.
