Kythnos, also known historically as Thermia, is a Greek island and municipality in the Western Cyclades, lying between Kea and Serifos about 56 nautical miles from the Athenian harbor of Piraeus. The municipality covers about 100 square kilometers with roughly 100 kilometers of coastline, and its highest point, Mount Kakovolo, reaches 365 meters.
