Libisosa

Southern Europe

Libisosa is an archaeological site on the Cerro del Castillo hill in the municipality of Lezuza, in Spain. Excavations have shown that the site holds remains spanning from the Late Bronze Age to the late Middle Ages, including a late Republican Roman wall and forum from a Roman colony mentioned by the writer Pliny the Elder, as well as an earlier phase of an Iberian oppidum.
