Lippstadt is a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, and the largest town in the district of Soest, situated about sixty kilometers east of Dortmund, forty kilometers south of Bielefeld and thirty kilometers west of Paderborn. It had a population of 68,383 as of the end of 2025. The town is headquarters to the international automotive suppliers Hella and HBPO Group and is home to Rothe Erde, a manufacturer of large diameter bearings and seamless rolled rings.
