Londrina, in the Brazilian state of Parana, is the fourth-largest city in southern Brazil, with 555,965 municipal residents recorded in 2022, and lies 388 kilometers northwest of Curitiba. It was officially established in 1930 by a small group of Italian, Japanese and German settlers, and today hosts multiple universities.
