Ma'alot-Tarshiha is a city in the North District of Israel, about 20 kilometers east of Nahariya and roughly 600 meters above sea level. It was formed in 1963 through the municipal merger of the Arab town of Tarshiha and the Jewish town of Ma'alot, making it a mixed city. In 2024 it had a population of 23,042.
