Malolos is a component city and the capital of Bulacan province in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines, about 45 kilometers north of Manila. It is known as the Cradle of the Philippines for hosting the 1898 constitutional convention at Barasoain Church that established the First Philippine Republic under Emilio Aguinaldo, and its 2024 census population was 269,809.
