Mamburao is a municipality and the capital of Occidental Mindoro province, in the Mimaropa region of the Philippines. Designated the provincial capital on June 13, 1950 when Mindoro Island was divided into two provinces, succeeding a temporary capital at San Jose on January 1, 1951, it had a 2024 census population of 44,554 across 283.51 square kilometers. Native languages spoken in the municipality include Iraya and Tagalog.
