Matsuyama is the capital city of Ehime Prefecture, on the island of Shikoku in Japan, and is also Shikoku largest city. As of October 2022 the city had an estimated population of 494,100 in 243,541 households and a population density of 1,200 persons per square kilometer, across a total area of 429.35 square kilometers.
