Mendoza, officially the City of Mendoza, is the capital of Mendoza province in Argentina, located in the northern-central part of the province among the foothills of the Andes. At the heart of Argentina's largest wine-producing region, Mendoza is known worldwide for its Malbec vineyards, its network of irrigation canals lined with sycamore trees, and its access to nearby ski resorts and Andean mountaineering routes, including toward Aconcagua.
