Menlo Park

Menlo Park is a city in San Mateo County, on the western shore of San Francisco Bay in the San Francisco Bay Area of California, United States. It sits at the eastern edge of the county and is bordered by the bay to the north and east and by East Palo Alto, Palo Alto, Stanford, Atherton, North Fair Oaks and Redwood City on its other sides. The 2020 United States census counted 33,780 residents. The name came from a ranch that Irish settlers bought around 1850 and named for their home village of Menlo near Galway. The town grew up around a station on the railroad built in the 1860s, and that 1867 station building is still the oldest continually operating train station in California. The city was incorporated for good in 1927. Today it belongs to Silicon Valley and is the home of the headquarters of Meta Platforms and of SRI International, and Google, Roblox and Round Table Pizza were all founded there.
