Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, also known in Dutch as Sint-Jans-Molenbeek and commonly called simply Molenbeek, is one of the nineteen municipalities of the Brussels-Capital Region in Belgium. Located in the western part of the region, it is separated from the City of Brussels by the Brussels-Charleroi Canal and borders the municipalities of Anderlecht, Berchem-Sainte-Agathe, Dilbeek, Jette and Koekelberg. The municipality takes its name from the Molenbeek brook that flows through it, and like every Brussels municipality it is officially bilingual in French and Dutch.
