Naumburg is a town in the Burgenlandkreis district of the state of Saxony-Anhalt in central Germany, with a population of around 33,000. Its cathedral, Naumburg Cathedral, was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2018, in recognition of the Christianization, territorial settlement and cultural exchange that shaped the region during the High Middle Ages between 1000 and 1300.
