Nizamabad, also known informally as Induru or Indur, is a city in the Indian state of Telangana, governed by a municipal corporation and serving as headquarters of Nizamabad district. Previously part of Hyderabad State and then Andhra Pradesh, it became part of the newly formed state of Telangana under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act of 2014, and lies about 186 kilometers north of the state capital, Hyderabad.
