Nukunonu

Nukunonu is the central and, at 5.5 square kilometers of land around a 109 square kilometer lagoon, the largest by land area of Tokelau's three atolls, a New Zealand territory, though its population of about 531 is the smallest of the three. Made up of some 30 islets, most residents live on Motuhaga Island and belong to the Catholic Church; early European explorers named it Duke of Clarence Island. Part of the atoll is a designated Important Bird Area supporting roughly 20,000 pairs of breeding seabirds.
