Nyirbogat is a village in Szabolcs-Szatmar-Bereg County, in the Northern Great Plain region of eastern Hungary, with a recorded population of 3,105 in 2015 across an area of 55.36 square kilometers. The site has been inhabited since the Stone Age, and the village name first appears in written records in 1310, when its land was held by members of the Kallay family until the end of the fourteenth century.
