Orchomenus is a town and municipality in Boeotia, Greece, continuously significant since antiquity for its archaeological remains, which show occupation from the Neolithic through the Hellenistic periods. The ancient city was the setting for a number of early Greek myths, giving it a lasting place in Greek legendary tradition alongside its long, layered settlement history.
