Païta is a commune in the suburbs of Nouméa, New Caledonia, in South Province, and is home to La Tontouta International Airport, the territory's only international gateway. Its population grew from about 1,400 in 1956 to roughly 24,563 by 2019 as it developed into a suburban community near the capital.
