Palabuhanratu, also spelled Pelabuhan Ratu, is an administrative district and fishing town that serves as the regency seat of Sukabumi Regency, West Java, Indonesia, on the southwest coast facing the Indian Ocean. Its horseshoe-shaped bay has treacherous waves, and in Sundanese folklore the Indian Ocean there is held to be the home of Nyai Loro Kidul, who reigns along Java's southern coast.
