Percote, also called Perkote, was a town or city of ancient Mysia on the Asian side of the Hellespont, northeast of Troy. It appears several times in Greek mythology as the home of the seer Merops and sent a contingent to fight for Troy in the Trojan War, though by the time of the geographer Strabo the city no longer existed and its exact location on the Hellespont shore was already unknown. Its site has since been placed about four miles east of Umurbey in Asiatic Turkey.
