Phaistos is a Bronze Age archaeological site at modern Faistos, a municipality in south central Crete, Greece, notable for the remains of a Minoan palace and its surrounding town. The site was first settled around 3600 BCE, with a first palace built around 2000 BCE and a rebuilt palace around 1700 BCE before the site's destruction around 1400 BCE. Phaistos was one of the three largest cities of Minoan Crete, alongside Knossos and Malia, and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2025.
