Phoenice, also spelled Phoenike, was an ancient Greek city in Epirus and the capital of the Chaonians, located on a hill above a fertile valley near the modern town of Finiq in southern Albania. It was the wealthiest city in Epirus and held the strongest walls in the region until the Roman conquest, and it was the site of the Treaty of Phoenice that ended the First Macedonian War.
