Polican is a city and municipality in south-central Albania, formed at the 2015 local government reform through the merger of the former municipalities of Polican, Terpan and Vertop, which became its municipal units, with the town of Polican as its seat. The municipality's total population is 10,953 across 272.20 square kilometers. Historically part of Berat County, the city was reassigned to Skrapar from 1978 to 1991 under political pressure from the regime of the time, and it was established as an industrial center.
