Popovača is a town in the Moslavina region of central Croatia, within Sisak-Moslavina County. The 2021 census recorded 10,255 residents in the town proper, down from a peak of about 14,400 in the 1950s, and 96 percent of residents identify as ethnic Croats. In the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries the area belonged to Bjelovar-Križevci County under the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia, and the town retains examples of traditional wooden architecture from that period.
