Port Macquarie is a coastal city on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia, at the mouth of the Hastings River where it meets the Tasman Sea, about 390 kilometers north of Sydney and 570 kilometers south of Brisbane. It had a population of 47,974 in 2018, estimated at 51,965 in 2023, and serves as the eastern terminus of the Oxley Highway within the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council local government area. Locals commonly call the city Port Mac or simply Port.
