Ra'anana is an affluent city in the southern Sharon Plain of the Central District of Israel, founded in 1922 as an American Jewish settlement about one kilometer south of the village of Tabsur. It had a population of 82,964 in 2024, with a large share of Jewish immigrants from the Americas, Europe and South Africa alongside Israeli-born residents. The city's industrial park hosts global and local start-up companies, and it was designated a Green City by the World Health Organization in 2005.
