Radom

Radom is a city in east-central Poland on the Mleczna River in the Masovian Voivodeship, about 100 kilometers south of Warsaw, with a population of 191,819 recorded on 31 December 2025, making it the sixteenth largest city in Poland and the second largest in its province. With over a thousand years of history, Radom was a royal city of Poland and a significant center of administration, having hosted the Polish Crown Council that ratified the Pact of Vilnius and Radom between Lithuania and Poland in 1401 and served as seat of the Crown Treasure Tribunal, the country's supreme audit institution in the early modern period; the Nihil novi and Laski's Statute were adopted by the Sejm in Radom in 1505. The city preserves a medieval urban layout with Gothic, Baroque and Neoclassical architecture, was a center of the June 1976 protests, and today hosts the biennial Radom Air Show, the largest air show in Poland, as well as producing the semiautomatic FB Vis pistol historically and modern military firearms for the Polish Armed Forces.
