Rawa Mazowiecka is a town in central Poland, capital of Rawa County in the Łódź Voivodeship, first mentioned in records in 1228 and granted town rights in 1321. It served as a medieval ducal seat and royal city, and from 1562 hosted the Rawa Treasury, which helped finance the Polish army.
