Rietavas is a town on the Jura River in Lithuania and the capital of Rietavas municipality, recording a population of 3,234 at the 2021 count. The town is noted for hosting Lithuania's first electricity-generating power station, built in 1892, and its first telephone line, constructed in 1882.
