Rudny is a city on the Tobol River in Kostanay Region of Kazakhstan, with a population of around 109,600. It arose in 1957 in connection with the development of local iron ore deposits and the construction of the Sokolov-Sarbai mining and processing enterprise, which remains the local economic base.
