St. Peter Port is a town and one of the ten parishes on the island of Guernsey in the Channel Islands, serving as the capital of the Bailiwick of Guernsey and its main port, with a population of 19,295 recorded in 2021. The town consists mostly of steep, narrow streets and steps on overlooking slopes, and a trading post or town is known to have existed on the site before Roman times under a pre-Christian name that has not survived; its parish covers an area of 6.5 square kilometers.
