Savusavu is a town on Vanua Levu, Fiji's second largest island, in Cakaudrove Province, with a population of 5,494 at the 2017 census. Known as the hidden paradise of Fiji, it grew as a trading post for sandalwood, sea cucumber and coconut products and is known today for geothermal hot springs that nineteenth century visitors recorded erupting as geysers 12 to 18 meters high.
