Scarborough is the main town of the island of Tobago in Trinidad and Tobago and the eleventh most populous town in the country, with an estimated population of 17,537 in 2011. It served as the capital of Tobago until the island's union with Trinidad moved the capital to Port of Spain, and it remains the economic and cultural centre of Tobago, home to the eighteenth century Fort King George.
