Schwandorf is a town in the Upper Palatinate region of Bavaria, Germany, seat of the Schwandorf district, situated on the Naab river with 29,877 residents as of December 2024. First documented in 1006, it received its municipal constitution in 1299 and full city rights in 1446, and grew into an important railway junction during the nineteenth century.
